National Air Conditioning Day In-Person

It honors the day in 1902 when Willis Carrier invented the modern air conditioner, which made it possible for people to live and work in a wider range of climates.

Homesense Heating & Cooling started celebrating National Air Conditioning Day after Brian Schutt, the co-owner, had the idea and started celebrating internally with the Homesense team. He then reached out to Carrier, the company named after Willis Carrier, and they also began celebrating.

Here are some tips for keeping your air conditioner running well:

  • Upgrade to a smart thermostat: Use a smart thermostat to adjust the temperature based on the time of day.
  • Clear debris: Clear any debris, leaves, or overgrowth from your outdoor unit.
  • Change the filter: Change your air filter every month during the summer.
  • Schedule maintenance: Schedule regular maintenance to ensure your air conditioner is running efficiently.
